If you like the aesthetics of them Lindy cables are very good cables. The one you posted a pic of can be gotten on Amazon for like $12. Also SpaceCables sells light & dark Lindy cables with a Lemo, Flemo, & YC-8 connector. Those are a lot more pricey though. From like $45 for the YC-8 version to $90 for the genuine Lemo. I got the one you linked a pic of & a Flemo one from SpaceCables, both are very high quality cables. The one thing to watch out for though is the device end is thicker than most USB cables & will not fit some keebs that have a deep & tight hole for the USB cable.
Yeah unfortunately Amazon doesn’t have this cable available for my location so I’m left with ordering it from aliexpress form kprepublic. The price is the same so at least that’s nice
I bought it for the keyboard. But I use it for the microphone))
Firstly, because there are no better magnetic keyboard cables. My taste.
Secondly, it is very rigid.
And for a microphone on a stand, it is just rigid and externally more convenient to attach.
I got one and it has become my staple. It looks great with any board, and I find it to be just the right size!
Grabbed a set of MTNU Dolch & couple syringes of 205g0. Pumped to finally try out MTNU. Then I also got my order in for the GMK Carbon R3 GB. I ended up going with the regular base. The alt. base is tempting, but I’ll wait & see if I can snag one when extras go live.
I’m tempted to hop on with GMK Carbon but not sure I need another GMK set that I’ll most likely never open or use. I invested quite a bit in SA Carbon + mods/alts/novelties only to have it in a box on a shelf looking pretty. Hope the MTNU Dolch works out. Very nice looking set!
You’re a smarter man than I, I do rotate my through my sets occasionally. Ultimately I do have a lot of sets that don’t see a lot use though so the smart move would be to hold off. I’ll definitely let you guys know how MNTU Dolch is!
I’m so tempted by the Phidias. Surprisingly one of the only (almost) full size keyboard that’s really tempting me. But at $500 I gotta sell a couple keyboards lol
One of Omni’s happy hour deals finally got me.
Awesome pricing for the base, color kit, & accent space bar kit! Beem wanting Dualshot for awhile but the set don’t seem complete with out the color kits to me!
I feel the same way; it needs all of the accents, but looks amazing when all decked out.
I ordered a few of these cases from Divinikey:
If their measurements are accurate on the site, they should be able to house my piggy60 and some 75% boards. We shall see. It also may be able to fit a Norbaforce. I’ll report back.
Ordered some Akko Rosewood from Milktooth (better sizing + nearer + favoritism).
Initially attracted by Akko Dracula switches made w/POK material but, after failing to find a sound test not drowning in woody sound of Akko MU01, I noticed Akko Rosewood.
Akko Rosewood uses PA6 which is similar to PA66 used by Vertex V1 but warmer and lower pitched. I love how 205g0 enhances PA66 sound so wanted to see if PA6 responds in the same way. Low pitch sound can actually be quite dreadful so .
I may have made a grievous error and I blame it on COVID. Last week while sick, I impulse ordered PBTfans Dolch.
The proper thing would have been to ask opinions on quality and durability, but…
Help me Obi Wan Kenobi/s, yous guys is my only hope.
I have never personally used any PBTfans sets, but I believe their doubleshot PBT stuff is alright. At least I’ve never heard anyone complain about them beyond the way the legends look & some kerning issues.
Pre ordered my set of DCS Lam Alert (red alert base) & figured I might as well take advantage of dorp’s BOGO on DCX & MT3. Was gonna grab the numpad & relegendable kit for Red Alert but those are only in the Lam Alert CW which is beige & red.
I’ve got a couple PBTfans ABS sets in the form of Pyga and Voir; they shine pretty fast, but other than that seem good quality as doubleshot caps go.
They work! The only negative I see is that the top half doesn’t seem to be as stiff. Although there is a built in divider to add protection to the board. I wouldn’t stack more than one of these. But that’s okay in my situation because I store mine standing up anyway.
Picked up some extras for my DR-70F:
I really appreciate seeing these priced at very affordable levels. The PCB—with it being reversible to convert from standard to southpaw layout—is a bargain at $17.
Snagged the last WK extra. $$ Did I overpay? Maybe… Will it be awesome? Also maybe…
KLC said they can ship it later this week since I’m traveling now, which is pretty cool of them. I can’t wait.
I need silent switches and I’m trying to decide between TTC Frozen v2 which would cost me $29 and Outemu Silent Peach v3 that cost $13.
I’m looking for very quiet silent switches, preferably not mushy and minimal “slush” sounds as I’m too lazy to lube.
Which would you choose?
Edit: Eventually got the Outemu Silent Peach v3 and I’m very pleased.
