The incredible attention to detail, the stunning material quality… and the sense of joy not to take any of it too seriously. That’s what I love about Matrix.

it’s so strange! It’s perfectly Matrixlab. Reminds me expansion ports for gaming consoles like the Sega Genesis.

But yeah, weird shit. I do own a Navi, but I think I’ll sit this one out and see if any extras every show up. Kinda already spent all my money on something special

But I will pick up the badge pack. Ron too cute. I wish they would have another round of full badges, not just the 1x1 insert. The Corsa fits 3 of those suckers on the back, so I need a few more.

I’m a bit disappointed in the Gator. While I don’t particularly need the f-row module, I might consider it out of novelty if it actually stretched across the whole top of the board. Why it doesn’t is a big head scratcher.

I will pick up the badges however. I would really love to see more badges run through Novelkeys. I don’t pay enough attention to the ones posted on the matrix discord server, nor do I feel comfortable buying any from vendors/creators that I don’t know.

I know - it’s totally weird! It lines up with the bottom case and is short top down. So odd, but I might still go for it…

Participated in the mass migration of American Bucks to South Korea during the wee small hours of the morning…

Between this and the city streets wrecking my car’s suspension a week ago, my poor wallet needs a vacation. :sob:

Rolled the dice on some CannonKeys mystery caps:

Last time I did CK’s Mystery Keycaps I lucked out and got two great NicePBT sets: Sweater Weather and Black on Grey.

I am approaching critical mass with my keycap collection, and also have quite a few sets on pre-order/group buy that I am waiting on, so I constantly have to remind myself to not buy any more, regardless of how good the deal is :pensive:

Good luck!

Same, I got the leaning tower of keycaps going on in my storage right now. Planning on splitting my closet in half & building shelves to help eliminate that. Till then I gotta chill out on buying more too!

Has anyone bought multiples of the CK mystery switch 36-packs before? I’m tempted, but I have no use for 36 each of two or three different switches. Not sure if the super-discount 10 pack being fully random is just part of that particular deal to allow the even lower price, or if there’s no way to guarantee a board’s worth of matching switches at all.

Mystery is fine. I’ve done it twice from NK, and both were nice enough, but their batches came with enough in a single order to build a project.

Worth asking them - shoot them an email or on their Discord server.

Can’t imagine a mix - 36 tactile, 36 linear, or 36 light actuation with 36 heavier. Or even 36 long poles in the mix.

I was wondering the same thing. Was gonna go for some cause it is a great discount, but if they can’t at least guarantee that every 2 packs will be the same its not worth it IMO. The wording on the site does seem to suggest each pack of 36 will be randomly selected.

I’m in the same situation here with many more caps than keyboards or storage space and yet… the siren song of cheap, quality caps was too great for me to resist this time.

I got in on the Spyder TKL GB in Gentian blue. I also picked up a PP plate and hot swap PCB as extras. I plan on using the gummy oring mount.

Nice, the Spyder looks like it’s gonna be a really good old school style board. I’m planning on picking one up too, hopefully next if my finances will allow.

So, I had a moment of weakness and bought 150 new Nixies from Milktooth because MX blacks are still my favorite switch of all time and Nixies are still my all time holy grail switch.

That purchase in itself isn’t horrible… What IS horrible is that now I want to either order another Kinesis Advantage 2 to slap them in OR send off the one I have with MX browns to Upgrade Keyboards to get those installed + get the POM plates added to the thumb clusters. Now to decide if I really need to get a sixth Advantage 2

Ordered some more 58g Long Triple Stage (21mm) CK Springs.

I was using CK Slow Springs (golden two-stage spring made by Tecsee) in Vertex V1 but felt it needed a bit more oomph. At first, I thought adding a bit more top weight would do the trick so spring swapped to Super Long (23) Two-Stage CK Springs. Extra weight helped but it was still lacking something.

Extra bounce from 58g Triple Stage version filled what was lacking better than extra load. While I’ve long known about the extra bounce 3-stage has over two and single stage springs, I’ve learned that it’s a difference that can matter a lot, at least with linears.

In hindsight, what I was noticing with both 2-stage springs above (CK Slow and Super Long) was the feeling that keycaps are falling behind after a keystroke. With 3-stage springs, keycaps come up faster and keystrokes sounds better.

Recently I have been watching some sound tests of cherry ergo clears ( which I have decided to get some for myself ) and I’ve noticed that a lot of people share the same cable.

The silverish translucent one?

I have done some google search by image and googling and I found out that It is a Lindy Cable.

I have a couple of keyboard cables but I really like the look this one and from what I’ve read they seem to be pretty good.
Should I get one?
