I think the Peaches are probably more quiet, but the Frozens less mushy. The latter have some thud, but are still pretty quiet.
Edit - here is a comparison between older versions:
Old Frozens are more loud thanks to a flat stem bottom

This is really helpful!
I’ve seen Deep Sea being mentioned here and they’re also affordable and known to have a bit of thud, do you think they might be better than the Frozen silent?
I want one very badly but I’m already over budget for the year on keeb stuff.
That’s exactly how I felt about the ai03 Altair and Neo Ergo. Also, storage space for keyboards and keyboard accessories has been running out quickly…
While not the same, I’d say Deep Seas and Frozen Silents are pretty similar. They both have the thud; since Frozen Silents got revised after I got my set it’s hard to for me to say which switch has more of that going on between the two, but generally they’ve always reminded me of each-other. I’d say pick up the one you can get for less as both are very solid performers - though the Frozens might be better for RGB being mostly transparent.
How is the sandwich mount on this compared to the gasket mount? I typed on one recently and liked it but didn’t not which mount it used.
Ordered some HMX Purple Dawns from UniKeys to find out if I need a bit of fiberglass clacks in my diet.
Let us know how you like them! I’ve personally really been enjoying the HMX Clouds I got in my Aaru, they’re one of the clackier variants but pair well with that case since it has a bit of resonance. I also got EVAs which are a deeper sounding variant (still clacky though) in my macropad which seem really nice. I still got to get Canglan V2s, Macchiatos, & Swifts into a build to see how they are in action yet.
Anyone know of a place selling an HMX sampler pack?
Switch Oddities would be another option, ofc.
A few places offer sample packs for HMX, here is a few I know of off the top of my head.
I identify with this post so so much…
Hello
Why, thank you!
Never had an issue with the keycaps themselves, and the plastic trays they come in are great. The legends however I’ve had issues with. My Classic Hangul set had some poor legends in regards to the Enter and Super text. Backspace might have been a touch off too, but I can’t remember.
Personally not a fan of the Mac mods and the icons for the nav cluster either, so while going purely icon mod does save you from the legends, it can be a double-edged sword depending on your preferences.
Welcome to the Community!!
Thanks for the input. I lucked up and got a really nice looking set, no issues with legends or color. My only gripe is the slightly warped green space bar.
Ive tweaked it back and forth, checked the stabilizers and switch, nothing seems to help. Otherwise, I’m happy with them!
KBDFans set me an email telling me this arrived. Base kit has all the keys I need for my minila-esque layout.
I’m telling myself I can remove Teradrive from my cart now, since they’re kind of inverse alphas/mods colors…
Anyone know where I can get 2.75u and 2.5u spacebars to match this set?
I can’t find anyone selling the child kit, and the only place that I see that ever sold it is Switchkeys
thanks for looking. I had the same results. It’s times like these I wish I was actually literate in Chinese and could browse the Chinese sites and forums.
Found some Aifei semi transluscent caps on Aliexpress, I may try mixing some keys if those color match closely enough. Hate mixing though.
In other news, I pulled the trigger on some DMK Hush from Aliexpress for $30 cheaper than elsewhere.
Edit: also bought Fright Club
