I found this:
Here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093FCML6F/ (I hope you can see it in english)
Does it only look weird to me that someone made a TKL with actual TKs? Do you guys know this rather strange format?

I had to do a double take there. No, that’s not one I’ve seen before, but I don’t have the deep history some do.
I’m honestly somewhat torn by this. On the one hand, I can type numbers so much faster in that arrangement. On the other, I’d sure miss the dedicated math operators that would typically be round on a 10-key.
Yes, for sure. And I’d be worried that I move around like hell using the “numpad” since I’m pretty used to resting my palms on the table while typing.
I usually do not much number crunching so I gegerally am used to type mathematical signs on the main key cluster instead if the numpad. But would definitely miss page up/down, hom, end and such. Together with ctrl and the arrow keys they give me the most performance while navigating or correcting typos.
I could see using this at work if I didn’t need the nav cluster all the time, just to have convenient number entry. I do a lot of looking-up by job number, but not very much in the way of math operation, so I could get away with not having those keys. Can’t live without Home and End in a familiar place, though.
NCL? Nav-cluster-less?
Hello? Is a CAD Designer in the room, please? We have a brand new pitch to offer!
I relied on a number cluster at work for many years because I had to enter employee id numbers a lot while on the phone. This would have been great. I never did any maths
do you think theyre worth it to try? ive really only used durock v2’s in all my builds
Then u should try.
Haven’t used them myself so I can’t say
I just saw that colorful hotswap sockets was added to the Durock AliExpress store, sadly only speced for 100 swaps
Kailh has their v2 that are rated for “up to” 6000 swaps
So many new sockets recently, most are non branded.
I remember when the V2 Kailh sockets were rated around 10,000 or 100,000, some ridiculous number, maybe it is, but I guess 6000 sounds more believable.
Weren’t the V1 Kailh sockets only rated for 100?
TBH I’d be surprised if any of the HS sockets (not including mil-max) lasted over 100 swaps. The only 2 HS PCBs I got both had to have sockets replaced because of the internal pins that hold the switch pins getting spread to far apart after only a few swaps. Then all these sockets (again sans mil-max) are SMD mounted & people want them on these super flexy PCBs. Seems like a recipe for disaster to me on that one.
Don’t get me wrong I do believe HS PCBs have there place in the hobby. Although I think they are much better suited to stiff mounting styles & lower to mid end boards.
Yes, the v1 is rated for 100 swaps.
It was even crazier! The original press release claimed the v2 sockets could handle 60 million swaps.
Dang.
That’s pretty.
Odd that KBDfans drops the news on that one.
Really nice. The gradient on those four keys is devilishly subtle.
hmmm
I guess Gateron has a non-Zeal all-clear switch, after all. And they’re in stock! (Still waiting on my Crystals and Pearlios.) Huh.
Looks like you can get them with the springs from either Yellows or Reds, and in the photos there appear to be two styles of stem. Not a ton of info on the page, so it’s not clear if the shroud/no-shroud stems indicate different weights as a visual cue in lieu of color.
I’m kind of curious to compare these to the Crystals (why are they not called Crystalz?), but not quite curious enough to buy these just yet - especially since the price is pretty comparable to the Zeal version!
