I thought I’d sworn of GBs but dammit this one’s gonna get me. And whew that deskmat could not be more perfect! It’s almost more fitting than the official ones.

Does anyone recognize this keyboard? The photo is from a keyset page at KBDfans. Angled front and wide head area reminds me NCR-80 except in WKL Tsangan and colored charcoal. Digging the look of it.

Probably a G60 - I got one from Mechmarket that was packed so poorly and damaged so badly I sold it at a huge loss

I fell hard to the Mictlan hype train. Papel Picado base, novelties, & HIBI cap since I took a fat L in the OGR raffle today 
. Who else jumped on the Mictlan hype train so far? Oh the one thing that sucked is now with NK you can’t order the deskmats/toys/whatever other things with the keycap set & have everything ship together anymore. I get it though since they’ll have the mats/toys/whatever other things possibly a year before the keycaps. With the warehouse space holding all that & the volume Mike is doing nowadays he just can’t do it anymore. I guess the upshot is you’ll get your mat & whatever else whenever the vendor gets it, double shipping hurts though. For NK though I’ll give them a big pass on any drama over it, it’s common sense business & Mike does a ton for the hobby/community.

It is such a nice set & at the price, it ALMOST makes the wait worth it. Although I’ve heard some rumblings that GMK has been ramping up more & more, so the Q3 next year shipping date is based more on their current volume. If they can keep ramping up production & get all the new machines in use it could deliver much quicker. Just rumors I’ve heard though, so pinch of salt & all that.

This is an absolutely beautiful set. I especially love the novelties. Gonna pass unless I can catch some extras though. Just don’t have the stomach for group buys anymore.

Me too. I really do love these GMK sets coming out, especially Rouge R2, but I really can’t stand the wait. If I don’t have patience for something I ordered in May and will ship out somewhere near Q3 (2022), I don’t want to even think about 2+ years of waiting.

GMK Pono is really close to Rouge and in stock at Omnikeys. I’ve been debating Pono for a couple weeks now.

Pono is definitely on my wish list, but Rouge is just a good looking set.
DROP revives the Red Scarf branding for a keyboard inspired by the Cherry G81 8308.
I think this is both incredibly cool and sad at the same time. The close up shots show rough anodization and poor fitment of the brass accent on the top.
It is like they put that specific close up picture there to try and stave off future complaints and returns.
Will it deter me? Undecided.

No option than to buy to see it live then !
I mean props to them for releasing something a little aspirational design-wise (which they have shied away from since the Rocketeer debacle), but even the close up picture of just the brass accent shows scratches, pitting, and uneven coloration.
Really odd way to ask for someone’s $300.

I thought this was neat and disappointing at the same time as well. Cool design, but where is all the information? No plate options? I have been in this hobby long enough to remember some of questionable things about RedScarf boards…
Strange to toss this up and then not give any details. Is this a place holder? Are they going to come back later and fill out more info? That seems reasonable… but they are also willing to take my money on a half-assed pre-order product page? So many strange elements on this, both from Drop and RedScarf.

Has anyone tried these caps? Curious about the 2mm thickness claim. That’s pretty thiccc
$65 seems okay but a tad high for the text issues I see on the modifiers. A lot of font weight inconsistencies

Late reply here but you should take a look at some product photos of the 1-4 gradient. I know some folks were unhappy with the way they turned out but ymmv of course

Totally, and being that thick has me curious how straight the spacebars would be. They’d need a bit more time and care to cool in order to avoid unintended warpage I’d wager.
