@norbauer would you recommend a white or black plate to pair with Sunset Blvd and Hangul HiPros? Can’t decide what I think would be best, but leaning towards sticking to white
When Sunset Blvd is concerned, I would say that a white plate is always your best bet. 
Joined the buy and was reading through the comments… so it is difficult to open HHKB Hybrid up without breaking it?
Is there a guide for people who want to put a Hybrid in HG? I know we’re still months away from receiving HG but I am rather curious about how difficult it is.

I sadly didn’t have a chance to finish my instructional video before the end of the GB, but I will do so during the production period. It’s not per se hard, just a little tedious since you have to move over all the domes and sliders. The only tricky part on the Pro 3s is being gentle when moving over the internal data cable, as it’s a little less robust than on the Pro 2. The Hybrid isn’t any harder than the Pro 3 Classic. You just disconnect the battery pack via its little JST/Molex-style connector when removing it from the stock HHKB housing, and then everything else is the same.

Okay thank you! It’s very reassuring to know that there will be an instruction video. I have swapped domes for my FC660C and it’s good to know that I just need to be careful with the data ribbon. Very exciting!
Now I just need to wait for all the secret topre keysets to appear…
Oh, if you’ve done this before you’ll definitely have no trouble with this build.

Hello all,
I read through this thread and the other one and I’m not 100% sure on something. I have a Pro 2 compatible Heavy Grail coming and I just recently found out about the Hasu USB-C controller (I have one of the USB-Mini ones).
Based on another users measurements it appears that the USB-C will fit in the Pro 2 Heavy Grail? There are no guarantees I understand but I was thinking of picking one of the USB-Cs up just to have in case it would work. I figured I might as well in case I know 100% that it won’t work. Though I guess I could just wait and let other people with the controller check… but that would mean not having it when my Grail arrives…
Next time I should make up my mind about what my question is.
From what I understood, the USB-C port size is different (slightly larger than the USB-mini), so it would not fit on the Pro 2 Heavy Grail.
Sorry if I missed it but has it ever been announced when the fulfillment will begin? I know we are still a long way from it but I’m hoping to spend some time out of the US this year and just want to have a sense. Thank you!
I thought the same but then I was scrolling around this thread (or maybe the IC thread) and there was a poster who indicated that they measured the USB-C connector and it would fit into the hole dimensions Mr Norbauer provided.
I’m gonna keep my USB-Micro Hasu just in case but I figured it would be worth a shot to get a USB-C one as well
I think that we have been given a very general “Summer” ship date. The reason given for not being more specific is that covid has made things like this difficult to accurately predict.

My pal @choobies also has one that I think he is going to show on stream next week (I’ll be there to discuss). While he might take it apart to inspect the insides, I don’t think his plan is to do a full build since I sent him an already-built board.
Does @norbauer, @choobies, or anybody else have a link to this 7 hour heavy grail stream? I wanted to go re-watch it yesterday and I didn’t realize twitch took down streams after a certain period of time. And for what it’s worth, I’d listen to a podcast with you two!
