The switch plate being white or pink is a deal breaker for me though. I really want black for my next HHKB layout board, and a high contrast switch plate peeking through the caps doesn’t fit into that vision
Nevertheless, one of these might be in my future one day
if you really want the case and a black plate, then you can lay down some 1/32" poron and make yourself a black-ish plate without affecting key travel. lazy man’s example (note it should be easier to do on the HG due to the plate being removable)-
well heck, i think plastidip would be easier and you could always just peel it off
FWIW, I just spoke with the factory and I believe it’ll be possible to make black plates available as well. I’ll offer them later at half off to people who participated in the GB, or if you see this message in time and have already placed an order and prefer black you can always message me we can get you switched over now by refunding your GB current order and having you place another.

@norbauer would the enigma black design be similar to the tactical on the mark 2?
No, actually it is a black textured powder. It will look like the rear cover plate on the Veracity Steel, which is shown in a photo in the product page (toward the bottom.)

One other question, the Aperture design on the Heavy Grail looks a bit darker than the similarly named design on the Norbaforce Mark II, is that just my imagination?

Is there a way to just switch over the orders instead of going through a full on refund and reorder?
Absurdly enough, that throws off both my accounting and fulfillment software, so I strongly prefer not to do it, but if you’re in a situation where your credit card charges you a fee for a refund and new transaction, just email me and I have a manual workaround.

Any chance we will get a final count of orders by finish? My guess for frequency would be: K2, Veracity Steele, Aperture, Sunset Blvd, VHS and white plates outnumbering pink plates
I can tell you off the top of my head that, by far, the single most popular finish was K2 with a pink plate. Veracity was probably also the second most popular single finish (though, of course, combined the powder finishes far outnumbered Veracity).
Hopefully, the numbers are satisfying (so we can congratulate and call it a success)!
BTW: I’ve just noticed that the Heavy-6 is also available in the “Veracity Steel” finish
