What did you order or think about ordering?

PIcked up a Classic-TKL from Novelkeys in based black. The proto yellow PC option sold out in 30 seconds…

I’m still hoping they do a color match of the R1 realforce gray for R2.

The proto yellow one was so cool. Crazy that it sold out that fast. It really should be a default color option and not just a special edition.

I believe someone from NK said in a interview that they’d be doing additional transparent special editions later on, just with an accent other than yellow.

With more stock next time around apparently. Not a TKL person but I’d love to build one for a friend or something.

NK blue would be awesome as an accent  :blue_heart:

I snagged a black one as well. I needed a low angle board to house KAT Cyberspace. While I like the nod to Realforce with the badge, I may try covering it with a Cyberpunk’y sticker to match the keycap aesthetic.

V2 & V2us both pole bottom out is why, V2 just has a long slider is all. A lot of the HMX switches are “full travel” (usually 3.8 to 3.9mm) with a pole bottom out.

Someone, anyone, please help!! I found a Wilba Salvation in Copper Slag in stock online and I REALLY want it. It will cost almost $400 to get it here, please talk me out of it…

Don’t do it, think about how many [insert your favorite snack]s you could buy with $400.

Back in April, I bought the silver Salvation case/plate/carrying case/no PCB for $195 new from AshKeebs. Maybe the copper slag will go on sale at some point?

If you need more fodder for your wallet defense, there is a slight ping-y sound on the backspace key that I can’t seem to eliminate completely.

I don’t know, Salvun has 8 in stock @ 289 Euro each.
Honestly though, the only reason I want it is to show off my SA Copper keycaps. I will most likely never use the board at all. It’s not a smart buy, I need to exhibit self-control.

Your local church also has some salvation in stock.

I had the craziest ping with my Salvations until I hit up the Salvun discord.
Fix for me was apparently to remove the outermost leaf spring mounts, so mount only with the two springs under Tab and pipe (leave the support springs). Also make sure you’re using the shorter screw for the PCB and not the longer screw–this is essential.
This fixed my unbearable ping and now the Salvations are amazing as intended. Every now and then I need to shift the PCB just a hair from it moving when plugging and unplugging, but that’s a tiny “fix.” I added some polyfill to soak up any excess resonance and I’m loving my Salvations.

Another huge QOL improvement was adding bump ons on the bottom. I use these for many of my builds and they are amazing: Amazon.com
This takes away the low freq thuds that pass through your desk/throughout the case and cleans up the sound immensely–you might not even be aware of that resonance until you try this. Won’t look pretty on the bottom but hell of a difference.

In the end, it’s just a metal rectangle that holds a PCB. It’s pretty much exactly the same as an RK61 Pro. Hell, it ain’t even got no arrow keys!

Also, eventually the earth will be consumed as the dying sun expands into a red giant, so none of this matters anyway. :+1:

Although thinking on it, that may be as good an argument as any for blowing ALL your money on keyboards. Hmm…
