This is probably a fairly noob question, but does anyone else struggle with unplugging JST connectors when swapping different builds into keyboards?
Are there any tips/tricks/tools to loosen and unplug the JST connector from the PCB without feeling like you’re breaking it?

Just take your time and wiggle it out.
They should have edges that extend past the connection hole, it should be easy to latch onto with your fingernails which should help.

I’ve found switch/IC pullers to work well for getting JST connectors out, if you can grab the sides of the wire harness with one.

Usually a fingernail and gentle wigglin’ does the trick for me.
The new connectors on the new HHKBs feel so much sketchier than the standard JST connectors we’ve been seeing on daughterboards though

Thanks all for the tips! I think the connector on the board I’m using just has a really small plastic tip without much overhang on the edges to grab onto 🥲
