What foam did you use? I can test official vs sorbothane and whatever else I have lying around or can find

The like 50 cent sheets of felt from Michael’s lol. I usually use the foam from there but I couldn’t remember what I did with it so I used the foam instead this time

Idk, earlier pre-seq1 images of the orange depicted it as more vibrant/fluorescent. Thinking of that orange plastic you sometimes see in a medical/dental office context. Wouldn’t be as interested if they turn out to be on dull side.

My KARA’s bottom has a pretty nasty bow in the middle. This is with the internal dampener installed. Anybody else have a similar experience with an internal weight or dampener installed? I’m kind of disappointed, but I’ve reached out to support so I’m hoping it’s an isolated issue. Will update when they respond.
I did not have this issue at least. Hope you get it fixed and have to say that’s a perfect keycap pairing!

Hm, I haven’t received mine yet to verify. Have you tried disassembling to confirm whether or not the piece itself is deformed/warped?

I have the same issue! Also with the dampener installed. Mine isn’t quite as severe as yours but I did remove the bottom piece and try bending it ever so slightly before reinstalling, which I think helped. I was disappointed as well but had just assumed it was a consequence of the manufacturing process or something

Support got back to me! The JST cable was sitting in a spot that was too tight for it to be in - since the Dampener is raised and takes up space as it should. Moving the cable up into a better spot with more space fixed it!

Yup, mine has the same issue and I was wondering if it was the JST. I’ll try moving it later today and see if that helps.

just a quick follow up: JST cable was definitely the source of the issue for me as well. Opened the board up and flipped the cable to lay where there was more space and now everything sits flush. Thanks for sharing!
