Wow. Just received mine and gotta say Rama’s packaging game has gone top notch. I don’t know how you can top this keyboard in terms of presentation and quality. I can tell they put a lot of effort and made loads of small improvements. And that white Wilba PCB is

tbh I thought the packaging was kinda silly, like the case came in a super nice box with nice labels and everything but it seemed like they forgot that it needs other stuff like a PCB and screws and such and that stuff was just like thrown into a second plain box to go along with it that was way too big and wasted a lot of space. They could top it by designing a box that actually holds everything they need to ship lol

the only other ones I’ve had are m6s, and m10, and the og m65, m65 was too long to remember (and probably counts as a different era tbh since it was fulfilled by keyclack), m10 I got second hand, I think the m6s came with everything in the same box but I don’t really remember tbh
Yeah M60 comes this way, too.
This is speculation, but there’s likely a logistics reason, especially given there’re various add-ons (weights/dampeners) and usually (but not with the Kara) the option of different PCBs, backplates, etc. That second box is quite spacious though loll.

yeah, I guess that’s true, the backplate came attached and the screws needed to put it together and the pcb (i dont remember that being optional but maybe it was) seem like they would have made sense to bundle in the same box. Really just a minor complaint thought the box really was very nice

Still waiting on a shipping notice for mine… 
I don’t think they’ve shipped any orders that had extras (dampener, starter kit, etc.)

Yeah I’ve got a Soya with a dampener that’s still waiting to be shipped. Moving this weekend, so I’ve actually updated my address and opened a ticket

I’m going to be out of town sometime in the coming weeks. Kinda nervous that it’ll get delivered while I’m not home… I might have to ask a friend to come grab it off the porch.

same here…I checked in with Rama Works, and the CS was telling me that they are shipping out the orders without any addons. So if you have something added like dampener it will be fulfilled later.

I wonder what their shipping order is, cuz I’m in Canada and got the Soya with Dampener on Tuesday. Talked to someone down in Australia who is still waiting on theirs lol…

same…I got mine on the very last day with dampener. I am quite curious to see if the Kara has a similar typing feel to HHKB topre…I know both are different mount but I have a hunch there might a slight similarity because of plastic plates… 
Supposedly, milling the weights is a lengthier process than making the KARA itself. So, orders with a weight will take comparatively (to orders without a weight) longer to fulfill.
There are no really “Topre alike” switches in the MX World. I’ve been told that some of the Kalih box tactile are similar, but no. It is likely very nice board but in its own realm.
