I came across this gem and thought it was very interesting from a keyboard perspective. I just started digging into it but appears the top layer is simply a PCB. Would be cool if someone can port this into a macro board or even a proper keyboard.

This is another very cool keyboard project, especially the non-contact theremin-like proximity sensors.
