Leopold fc980m disconnects

Hello guys. Can you help me with this one. This is the first mechanical keyboard I have and I bought this in October 2024. Today when I was playing my keyboard suddenly disconnects and when I try to reconnect it my Numlock Capslock and ScrollLock will blink like 2-3 times and it will not work. Is there any recommendation on how to fix this? I never spilled anything on my keyboard

Did you static shock it at all? Kinda sounds like a fried controller to me, although I thought Leopolds have ESD protection?

I am not sure how to do that as this is my first mechanical keyboard I have checked everything even the usb ports and the USB wire to my Keyboard

I was asking if you got a static shock when touching the keyboard at all before this happened. If the KB doesn’t have any ESD protection & it gets static shocked it can kill the controller on the PCB. This happens a lot during the drier winter months. Usually the KB will just disconnect & reconnect when this happens, however depending on how much charge you had stored in your body or having it happen multiple times can & will kill the PCB.

Prolly not I was playing like 2 hours and when that happen

Does it work if you plug it into another port on your computer? Or does it work on another computer (if you have another you can try on). I know I have some issues occasionally where my usb port has a moment and no longer recognizes the usb attached until it’s moved to another port.

Seems unlikely to be the exact issue, but somebody back in October had the rigid jumper-pin daughterboard connector on their FC980m break off. If this one is coming loose, you might get similar issues.
