Interesting Finds & Heads-Ups

I detect a complete lack of bolted on flares.

I was also expecting something completely outrageous, on par with their usual flamboyant style, and am kinda dissapointed, looks like a half arsed OEM effort.

Plot twist: It comes with kailh box jades. #outrageous

There’s no comically wide sides. Disappointed.

Did you notice that on the website they show the set having text mods, but on their Instagram post they show it having text + icon mods

Wow, updated line of standardized, feature filled boards from Splitkb.

first board in a while that I’ve been interested in, a little 40% tri-mode VIAL alice-like:

in the months since I got the split lulu I still haven’t adapted fully, so I know now I’m pretty limited on what I can use, but I bet this would be awesome for someone else.

I have no experience with their new composition in which to judge, but I’m still skeptical and disappointed.

I have no real issues with JTK, but I think KeyKobo has ate their lunch. KKB is way closer to GMK quality than JTK.

I agree. JTK could never really figure it out. Instead of focusing on nailing the legends or color matching they invested in new tooling for triple shot legends. A new feature doesn’t fix the bugs, lol. I own at least a dozen JTK sets, and I could never understand how even with the recent releases, they still had the giant bracket keys and other weird legend issues. The thing I liked the most about JTK was the feeling of their plastic and texture which has to be changing to some degree with the new blend. They will definitely be going without lunch.

I also like the feel of JTK cherry profile plastic, but I always disliked how you can press the left or right edge of a 1u cap and make them lean. I always have to make sure they’re straight before posting photos :joy:

If anybody cares about caps this far down the price scale, I feel like I’ve confirmed that Akko MDA and Womier/XVX ISA are indeed the same profile. Left is Akko, right is XVX.

I like all the layout options on this one.
