In all seriousness though, I keep getting excited when there are keystone updates only to remember that it’s going to look like an OEM board. Let’s hope it’s a smashing success and earns the attention of Mr. Norbauer. Definitely have more waiting to do for that board though.

I went with steel. HHKB is my most used keyboard despite owning a Norbaforce and Norbatouch. Figured it was worth springing for.

Just placed an order for the Veracity Steel / Pro 3. Never thought I’d ever own one of Ryan’s Veracity designs, but this one is special.
@norbauer any chance you know how close in color the Norbauer Pink switch plate is to the pink accents of 9009 keysets? I have a set of KBDFans EC9009 which looks like it could pair pretty well with the pink plate based on the photos.

Haha. I had actually forgotten about that, but that’s a thing I’ve notionally committed to doing with my pals over at Kono. You guys should hassle them to give me the CAD models so I can start designing one!

I just picked up a Pro2 heavy grail in K2 and pink!
It occurs to me that I will be using a custom HHKB Pro2 controller with a USB-C port. Can it be confirmed if the Pro2 verison of the Heavy Grail will have enough clearance to fit the USB-C?
Are the port tolerances exactly the same as the original Pro2 mini-usb port, or slightly larger? If I recall, the usb-c in the custom controllers just barely fits the original mini-usb port.
If not, I might need to send an email to edit my order…

After powder-coating, the pocket size is approximately 8.4mm x 9.6mm. Hope this helps!

Are those measurements in LxH or HxH? I’m assuming it’s a completely rectangular hole rather than one molded to fit the mini-usb port like on the stock HHKB.
My calipers have my HHKB’s mini-usb port at approximately 8.1mm wide which barely gives clearance for a USB-C, so if the width’s 9.6mm, it’ll probably fit flawlessly.
