super excited to see the 9 in retro! Anyone else feel like a kid at Christmas whenever Ryan posts? I never know what it could be! Super secret new project? More boards in stock? Reminds me of getting the JCPenny Christmas catalog and turning to the section with Transformers and He-Man figures. OH MY GOD, LOOK WHAT THEY’VE MADE

Current plan is to try it with the stock beige + grey from the 980c as well as the Extended 2048. What about you?
In retrospect, I kind of wish I’d gone for a bespoke beige of some sort.

I was very close to getting something as close to the stock case as I could.
I think it’d be pretty awesome
I ended up getting a K2 and a Retro Refrigerator and it was hard to justify a 3rd

I have both the base Latin and Tori extended sets. Probably one of those. But we’ll see. Might look good with black or EC 2020

I’m filming the assembly instructions video today. In preparing for that with one of the production units, I discovered that one of the components of the parts pack was the wrong size (an L wrench), so I have some of the correct size arriving this afternoon to be included in all the boxes. That should be the last thing we need for final assembly and shipping, still planning to get all the powder coated housings out in the next few days.

@norbauer Will the serial numbers on the “passports” correspond to the order in which the Heavy 9s were purchased? I assume that would be a nightmare to choreograph, but didn’t want to discount the idea given your track record of enviable pedantry

Haha. Well, thank you for the compliment, but I’m afraid you’re right in this case about the logistics being too difficult. This is pretty much just a lottery. Someday I’d like to come up with a process for having them be in sequence, but I just don’t have one at present.
