This proofs hell is on Earth…
Heat makes my skin feel irritated for no reason (itchy, EVERYWHERE) and that leads me to be irritable, which then leads into me getting mad at the slightest things. Which includes typing. And since I SWEAT: I dirty my keyboard, which then leads me to be sad.
Safe to say the heat is fun when you have the power of air conditioning.
do you regularly moisturize after showering? It sounds like your skin might be under-hydrated and sweat just acts as an additional irritant that makes things harder on you.
Great! Now we are also giving out medical advice on keebtalk…
IMHO and if the username serves as any indication, this could be Behçet’s syndrome. Are you sure it is sweat and not sebum? Talk with a dermatologist and/or rheumatologist about this and have them run a simple HLA-B51 blood test. You may also PM me about this.
very specific bit of knowledge…
We got slammed with rain in North Carolina this week and its been weeks since I’ve been able to cut our ~1 acre of grass, so it was getting a bit out of hand.
Managed to cut our back yard for the dogs by putting on a hoodie and sweatpants to stay out of the sun because we had a UV index of 10 and then strapping a ton of icepacks under my hoodie to keep cool in the mid-90F (~35C) heat. I had to swap icepacks out about half way through mowing, but it was very effective because it was far from the worst time I had mowing the yard.
Well SW PA is still a sauna. Its 5am & its so hot + humid I am sweating like a pig sitting in my vehicle waiting for the guy riding with me today… Gonna be fun working in this mess.
just went out to the store at 8:30pm. 87% humidity. That’s nonsense weather for me. Feels like an easy way to die.
crap that actually may be why
its most likely not this, knowing myself, my skin tends to be dry and I keep forgetting to remember that my face isnt the only thing that needs care.
Midwest is getting 90+ weather with some serious humidity this week. We are not prepared for this
Here in Pittsburgh last week we were down the high 60s low 70s, then this week back to high 80s low 90s with high humidity… The weather is all kinds of messed up this year!
In north east Ohio, last week I swore it was early October, and now it’s Vietnam. I’m lucky in that I work from home, so besides letting the dogs out and yardwork, the temperature is what I tell my thermostat it is. I do sympathize with everyone who has no choice but to face this summer head on.
I feel that. Here in Michigan it went from “oh, I can finally save some money and turn the AC off and open the house up for the week” to “I’m not going outside where I instantly start sweating”. Thankful this upcoming week is supposed to be back in the low/mid 70s for a few days so I should be able to not run the AC.
Went from $165 electric bill to $240 since we had to constantly have the AC on. Even at a higher temperature like 75, runs too often and Consumers with their bullshit peak hours is more expensive nonsense.
This is under BG&E’s “Budget Billing” option and also including discounts for having my Smart thermostat attached to their network so they can adjust temps on heavy use day when I am out of the house and also… paperless billing. Every little cent counts…
YIKES. We don’t use budget billing or the smart thermostat program thing (but we do have a tiny house we keep at 76 degrees when we’re home):
I think my AC is also pretty old. I think was installed in 2005.
When I last had someone out to service it, they said that it’s a pretty heavy duty unit for the house size and that newer units aren’t as well built and don’t last like they used to.
Also, they chraged me like $700 for refilling the refrigerant because apparently you can only buy it on the Dark Web or something now.
I dunno.
Anyhow, that is my Formal Excuse as to why you guys haven’t seen quite so many “New Keeb” posts from me.
I’ll just try turning off all of my RGB and stop mining BTC for a month and see if maybe that will help…
