I just bought a Surmen GS98 keyboard (which is I love, BTW) and it has these switches in it that I much prefer over the red Jixian switches in the Attack Shark I also recently bought.
I need help identifying them.
The listing on Amazon isn’t much help, other than they are “white” switches. They say Outemu on them, but all I’m seeing online are Outemu white silent switches. These are definitely not silent. They are linear, and seen to have slightly less travel than the Jixian reds…seems like less force required to push them too. I would like to buy a set to swap into my other keyboard. Any insights?

Hello and welcome! I believe these are called “Crystal Whites” - and I’ve pretty much only seen them come pre-installed in existing keyboards - I’ve got a bunch of them that I pulled out of Yunzii AL71s.
They are likely similar to some other more readily available Outemu linears but I can’t confirm if they match any or not - though they do appear to use Outemu’s standard tooling for linear switches. You might try shooting an email to the fellow that runs SwitchOddities.com and see if he knows more.
If you aren’t able to find a source for them I wouldn’t mind to sell the 140-ish I have on-hand - feel free to shoot me a DM.

Hmm… thanks for the keyword to further my research. I measured them with my digital caliper, and found that they have 3.2mm of travel before they bottom out, as compared to 3.8-3.9mm the other few switches I have on hand.
So at least I know that to find an equivalent from Akko, Gateron, etc. I know to look for something in the 3.2-3.6mm range. I just wish I knew the actuation force. I don’t have a scale sensitive enough to measure them. I don’t know if these are unusually light, or the Jixian reds I have are unusially heavy, because in the push-tegether test, the Jixian red wont even move until the Outemu bottoms out.

The Jixian Reds are roughly 60g according to the Goat. Which is an outlier as most reds are 45g. I couldn’t find any info on the Outemus other than they look exactly like the silent whites. I’m wondering if they are a variant of the whites without the dampening pads on the stem. Anyways from your posts & seeing Outemu uses 45g springs for the silent whites I’m gonna say whatever they are that is most likely the weighting of them.
