Broken Screw Head

Is it possible to remove this screw? This is an NK87 Aluminum Edition and I over tightened a screw causing the head to snap off. I know the keyboard would be fine without this removed but it bothers me.

You should be able to remove it. A smaller pick or punch. Place it on the outer edge of the screw and tap lightly with something weighted (does not need to be a hammer). And should be in the direction to unscrew. Might take a bit, but once loose either with pliers or fingers should come out.

@pixelpusher’s solution is really the best way to go in a scenario like this. Any other way will risk damaging the case. In a super last case scenario you can just use a drill bit slightly bigger than the screw to straight up drill it out. Although then you’d need to tap wider threads into the hole & get a wider screw for that one space.

If you have tried many methods but still cannot remove it, it is recommended that you seek professional help from a welder. Generally, they charge a service fee of $15, but the price may vary depending on your location.
