What little I know about Wooting boards I’ve gleaned from videos like these;
This reviewer generally likes Wooting products but had some gripes about the 80HE.
This one also generally likes Wooting, and also has a generally higher opinion of HE switches in general compared to the first one, though this is more of a first impression video.
HE boards are getting more popular, it might be worth digging into the stats and reviews of various current offerings.
Software matters so much because it’s what does (or doesn’t) allow you to leverage the analog and otherwise finely-tunable aspects of HE switches.
Stock stabilizers can sometimes be good, but rarely as good as ones you can tune and install yourself. My favorite easy-mode stabs are Designer Studio Adaptive for PCB mount, and Durock V3 for plate mount. For both I just use a thin coat of 205g0 on all friction surfaces, skipping the inside of the stems to avoid potential tackiness.
