75% Tented Alice Options (not group buys)

Newer to the hobby, but was wondering what were some good, tented Alice boards that aren’t group buys. Thinking the Neo Ergo seems fantastic, but as I’m still waiting on a group buy from nearly a year ago, don’t quite want to go down that route. Any that you’d recommend? Thank you all!

To be fair, Neo Ergo is shipping fairly quickly and I wouldn’t consider it much of a group buy. More like an in stock that takes a few weeks to ship. If you buy from QK directly, you can even follow along with their fulfillment here: Notion – The all-in-one workspace for your notes, tasks, wikis, and databases.

I love my NE and do find it fantastic.

Yep, if the buying experience is anything like the QK100, which it looks like, it’s more of an in-stock sale at this stage, as _td said. I’d go for it!

Typed on a couple at a recent meet and agree, I was very impressed. Design and finish hit well above the price. I think one was anodized baby blue with a red “kernel,” which I found striking.

Here’s the actual order page. I’d just advise read through all the notes regarding how to add extra parts and the different PCB options. Their tri-mode wireless PCB uses their own software, which is fine, but it’s good to know. It doesn’t have as many layer activation options and functions as QMK/VIA.

Yea don’t think of the Neo Ergo as a GB. The initial “run”/sale of QK’s boards are GB but after that their remaining stock (Which they also sometimes produce more after the fact) is in stock. Whatever is on their website and isn’t greyed out, they have it.

I would also highly recommend the Neo Ergo as someone who built theirs not too long ago, one of my boards that I actually really like how it turned out in multiple aspects.

I honestly was confused about this, tbh, until having to focus on it to help a friend with his first build. I feel like they’ve shifted to more consistently available in the past year. Maybe they just got sufficient traction to justify larger production runs that can feed a somewhat limited in-stock setup.

Yea that seems to be what they’re doing now, unless its a way old version of a board or just older release in general it will be actually out of stock. But for most of the recent releases they have continually restocked batches both announced and unannounced, sometimes if its an important restock for something that was out of stock they ping their Discord.

Is there something I’m missing about this PCB? That’s the one I have, and it shows up in VIA to set layers as long as I have it plugged in and load the JSON…unless I’m just misunderstanding your post, which is entirely possible. I don’t think I’ve used their software at all for anything.

Oh! You’re right! I stand corrected. The tri-mode is VIA compatible this time. Well, that’s cool. FOMO increasing…

Edit: Advanced features in ANY key are not supported, which I guess would mean like Mod-Tap. Still nice.
