1800 or 96% with North-facing RGB

I’m looking for a keyboard that checks all of a specific set of boxes:

:ballot_box_with_check: 1800 or 96% MX-compatible layout
:ballot_box_with_check: North-facing back-lighting, preferably RGB
:ballot_box_with_check: Weighty, high-profile metal case

I thought of the Drop Shift High-Profile, but it looks like they aren’t being made anymore. Any other suggestions?

Austin or HBCP come to mind, but those are only available on the aftermarket.

I don’t know of many solid ones, though at that point you could maybe find a PCB to have fabricated. I think the GK96 may also come in an aluminum version and be north-facing? Not sure.

Better choices if you can go with just the top being aluminum. Looks like the Kono Kira is in stock with the silver-tone aluminum frame. It appears to be north-facing. The Melody 96can do the same thing, I think, as long as you’re careful with how you order.

Orrrr… You could just let it ALL hang out and learn enough KiCAD to revise this with north-facing LEDs and get a Heavy 9 from Norbauer. :rofl:
