Fascinated about clicky keyboards since 1995 when I’ve got my first Amiga 500 - even though 'twas but a membrane one. But the whole working world was against me. Since I’ve taken up programming class in 2002 I was in love with the standard Model M key layout. None of this motherloving non standardized-function, media and macro keys which the industry thinks anyone love so much. But that was about it. Only flat “Cherry Stream”-like models. Everywhere I worked. Always hated freaking strang layouts where home, pgdwn and oll of those weren’t located where they supposed to be. After starting a professional career as tech support in 2010 all there was were rubberdomes here, and uncomfy notebook layouts there. What a stinking time… for five years i’ve had to use a apple magic keyboard with numpad. Eight hrs a day straight. Pretty cumbersome. Grinded my effing fingers to little stumps. In 2017 I’ve started touch typing in a QA company. At first with a blank keyboard (the cheapest plastic crap you can imagine), then last year I’ve got a Sharkoon PureWriter with Kailh Choc Reds, and now finally my first real entry into the world of MECHA-TYPING, my white RK84.
But the story continues. After I’ve created my dream reminiscence Workbench 1.3 keyboard the QK65 is now my 2nd work horse that I always grab when conference and teams meetings are scheduled. The currwnt PBT set doesn’t fit quite well and I’m not sure if to go witch colours or even an accent color. Maybe it’ll all be blank white.
