Cherry Hyperglide blacks, FR4 plate on tofu65
MX Browns (unlubed) on the Rama Kara! I like the tactility (I think the amount is just nice)
Seeing a lot of tactile folks for the last few posts above! haha
I have come around to favor light tactiles recently. I like to pair them with a super flexible plate like POM or go plateless, gasket mounted, and use plate foam between the plate and PCB. That combo seems to make them feel and sound really good. Here’s an example:
Wow - I had delayed buying these but now I feel like I have to
Wow this one sounds really good!
Been away from the KeebTalk site for a while.
Typing on some light tangies. Purchased some NK Creams because I’m many months (years?) behind on what is trending - figured I should give them a shot. Also have some Durock smokeys coming. I was raised on MX Blues, so trying out more of the linear switches has been an eye-opening experience.
Where do most folks here land on lubing switches? Especially some of these more mainstream, non-frankensteined factory switches? I’ve yet to lube a set of switches - and while everything is preference - is it pretty significant?
Hmmm…topre switches for today. Although I love mechanical keyboards but somehow I will always come back to my HHKB Pro 2. I like the tactility and how “silent” the switches are.
How I wish we can have affordable alu cases for topre…for that more premium feel
