What is on your desk today?

Sorry to hear all that! I know you put quite a lot of effort into this build. Is it your first time trying ortho/col stag? The bottom row was absolutely the hardest part for me as well.

I haven’t gotten to try MG yet, but from what I understand they’re shiny like SA as opposed to textured like MT3 - but they have more scooped keys than SA, closer to MT3. That’s about all I know.

I had tried initially with a Kyria and I just figured it was the lack of keys that I didn’t like (also the Choc Browns weren’t a good choice for me either). The Lily58 certainly has the keys, but I’m really beginning suspect it’s the key layout I’m not digging.

I’ve got a Sofle RGB and Breeze to build still, so maybe one of those will be the ticket, but I’m less than enthusiastic at this point.

this is the most sporadic selection of keycaps I’ve ever seen on a board but it just shows so much personality LOL

The numpad is a Duckypad.

Oh cool, I’ve seen the Duckypad on Tindie. How’s it working for you?

Awesome. It is really easy to program you don’t have to know any fancy code. I actually just put it together this past weekend.

Love that keyset! As much as I hate uniform profiles, I regret not getting this set.

SA on Topre is such a pleasure to type on

It is, indeed!

My personal preference for topre is MT3 > SA > DSA /DSS (especially for light, 35g) > OEM > Cherry.

Must have something to do with the relative low wobble design of topre.

Yup, exactly. And while I don’t optimize for sound, it sure sounds great. MT3/SA + Topre accentuates the deepness of Topre while maintaining the liveliness that can (sometimes) get lost in tuning.

Got my p02 matching my Sliger sm580 today.

Too bad the rest of my setup is a hot mess or I could do a sweet battle station photo. Meh, no none actually keeps a clean space all the time, right?

Nice hs5s. I need some floor stands, they’re so huge on my desk.

They’re actually hs8s, they just look smaller from this angle. A bit of overkill for what I do, but they’re nice. The only thing I don’t like is that they aren’t very well shielded. Have to used balanced connectors for sure, and they sometimes get RF noise from my phone if I get within a foot of them.

But I can’t complain b/c I got them several years back for almost 1/2 price on reverb.
