Shiny!!
seems like I’m posting all the time lately it’s because I’m bored, and this is my favorite website.
Samesies
Have a safe and speedy recovery my homie!
Love those sides, sets it off nicely
Finished up the case swap on my UT47.2.
Threw some modern dolch caps on there til I can find some permanent 40s.
This is what it used to look like (scroll down a little for the gallery.)
My daily-driver setup at work now that I’m back in the office:
-
GK61x w/ Silent Box Browns and Cherry profile dye-sub PBT caps; great little workhorse
-
Ducky Secret M - the smaller of the two Secret mouses but still a little more substantial than the typical ship-in. I picked this one for its PBT shell and respectable components
-
Keeb.io BDN9 w/ Millmax sockets, Tangerines, NK’s BoW double-shot PBT Cherry profile keys, and a 3D-printed middle shell (thanks, Dad!)
Sometimes I use just a 65% at work, and sometimes I use this setup. I like being able to move my nav-pad aside, but I’d never want to be without the keys on it, one way or another.
Lubed my Realforce PCB. Seems to have gotten rid of the majority of dome stick, and I no longer feel the springs moving around inside which is huge for me. A few areas need a bit more tuning, and these stabilizers are a pain to get sounding great. I think I’ve worked on them… 5 times now? Any tips?
Is there a thread on pcb lubing for topre. Ive seen it mentioned a couple of times now but am kinda sceptical.

Not sure if there’s a thread, but it’s step 18 in this guide. I’m currently making a stupidly long video, logging my modding of my Realforce R2. You can see how I do it when it’s up.
My newly finished Gingham. It has trash holy panda switches (purple trash panda housings and halo clear stems) durock v1 stabs and MT3 Susuwatari keycaps. Not sure how the trash panda housings compare to the invyr housings but these feel great. theyre lubed with 205g0 and are smooth and very roundly tactile. The sound is best described as kind of a popping sound and i quite like it. might have something to do with how open the “case” of the gingham is. also the trash pandas are from the new nk batch which are 5 pin versions. Please excuse the terrible picture. I was excited and I suck at photography.
My Topre boys. Got the FC980C all done and decided that I wanted some of those BKE Redux heavies for the 2U sliders in my FC660C. Worked out quite nicely since I found the tactility reduced in the 2U compared to the 1s. So now with the heavies in there, everything feels nice and consistent.
Those look great! What kind of camera do you use? I get a bit disappointed in myself that I’m unable to take as nice photos of my boards as you all hahaha
I used a Canon EOS R5 and an RF 50mm f/1.2 for this shot. Here’s some insight into how I get to the shots I post: https://denfi.me/editing
After reading your great article, I now better understand why your shots are sooo nice
I’ll always regret not picking those up.
