I broke down and ordered from KBDFans. They were so much cheaper than KPRepublic. I believe KBDFans sold out. But KPR still has them.

Pretty decent mailday today! Got more JTK trays in from Divinikey (4 regular ones & 1 Max). Then got in my most recent wins from Nightcaps. Got one of the one off eggfaces from the 𝐍𝐨𝐢𝐫 𝐒𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 raffle & a Lake of Rot Swimmer Fugu & Moonblank! Super happy to see the Fugus come back around!

I had to look it up earlier because it did not seem to be consistent with the katakana version seen on the packaging and some mats. Then it turned out it does, and the mk hobby keeps teaching me various languages. Now that I think of it, zuiver≈sauber in German.

Got my Cherry MX2A Black switches in from Divinikey.
Wow these things are nice stock! Factory lube seems solid. They sound smoother than older Cherry MX Blacks I’ve tried, but still retain that nice slight scratch to them. Really liking them so far

I think I love everything about this set except the novelty enter key. Is there a non-novelty enter key included in the set?

Got my smoothie and dual-rail Gaterons directly from Gateron today. Included a thank you card and a small sampler pack with North Pole 2.0 silver, Quinn, Ink Black v2, and oil King
The smoothie switch is, indeed, very nice. Definitely an upgrade from Kailh Cream switches in performace (both steadier and smoother). Also, no sign of stick-slip feel.
The dual-rail is not very impressive so far. Compared to a more recent linear (G Pro v3 yellows), they have noticeably more wobble at top, middle and bottom-out. The sound is really good. Definitely their strong suit. Sounds like it’s hand-lubed but with a good, solid bottom out from the longer pole stem. A more muted thock than clack. I’ll have to get them in a full build before I dismiss them for the wobble… but that’s what I’ve done up to now.

You can easily put a very large, heavy board in it without being careful. The padding is perfectly placed and protective. The stand feels completely solid.
More than happy with the results.
I have a habit of keeping two keyboards on my desk. This is the perfect solution

So I started a return on Loobedswitches for their Lindy LEMO cables because the cable gave up after a few months of use. Both the Type-C end and the USB-mini end didn’t work so I was thinking it was probably the host end that didn’t work, but I sent in everything just in case they needed to look into it to determine what is faulty. This was back on Aug. 31.
Fast forward to mid-Nov. I finally got the replacement in, only to find that it was a type-c device end only. So I sent them another message on discord saying that I’m missing the rest of my order. They admitted their mistake and said that they’ll send one over ASAP. Mind you, this is the week before BF sales so I’m sure that it’ll take some time to get a replacement and I don’t actually mind the wait but this came in the mail today:
Now I have two type-c ends and one USB mini end but no Host end to use. I’m not upset, just finding the whole situation pretty comical.

I am still waiting for this person to acknowledge me and just give me a refund.
