heck of a side profile on this one. Simple and sleek

Nice! How are you liking it? It is basically plateless right? I know I looked at it at one time, and it seems there is a plate but only at the top (and bottom?) where the mounts are. Very cool!

I’m loving it so far! Though it is taking some to re-train myself to use the numpad instead of num row. Lucky for me I use a trackball with my left hand so there is no reach adjustment needed to accommodate the length on the right side.

As for the build, I’m using a full aluminum plate that I bought during the GB. I candidly don’t like half plate or plateless builds personally. But that’s just my preference.

Thank you SP for another keycap set that looks so good it could be a render.

Thanks! The nostalgia for me hits hard as I had a Commodore when I was a kid.

I did not have one…my father got a 386 when I was under 10, I guess, probably rather late in the 386 life cycle…but my school computer lab featured a full complement of them until perhaps my middle school years. I have many memories of typing games and Carmen Sandiego on Commodore 64 in the back of the of the school/church convent

My first and only build so far.

It is a Keychron Q2 with the sound upgrade kit and some extra foam, and PBT MT3 keycaps, in particular the Serika set. The switches are factory lubed Glorious Pandas re-springed with 85g springs.

85g!! My word!!

@Halfling_Barista and imagine that I still find them “light”. Some time in the future, I will re-spring them with 100g springs. I admit it, I am a super heavy typist

Built my Eclipse today with Gateron dual rail switches.

I wasn’t very impressed with these switches at first, but they are exceptional in this board. Some of the nicest sounding stock switches I’ve ever tried.

Rebuilt the DZ60, from PC plate and bamboo tray case to FR4 plate and a 3D printed gasket mount case.

Beautiful case design/color. Did you 3D print this for ourself or is this purchasable somewhere?

I got it secondhand, printing myself would mean splitting it up in 2 parts currently. I can see if I can get more information about the STLs.

Yep, another Mode keyboard :face_with_peeking_eye:

This time it’s their new HHKB layout called “Tempo.”

Build Summary
  • Silver with copper weight and accent
  • Solder PCB
  • “Lattice” mount (softest behind the top row, second softest below the space bar)
  • BSUN “X” linears
  • Cherry clip-in stabilizers w/Cannonkeys wires
  • Carbon fiber plate (copper is on order…)
  • Aluvia keycaps (apparently NK thinks these are “B-Stock.” They look exactly the same as my A-Stock set…)
  • Hibi “Olivia No.3” artisans

Wow! I love whatever’s above the arrows. I can’t tell if it’s engraved or stenciled or whatever it is.

Behold the splendor of my garbage collection! I’m including the kiddo’s cursed combination of pokemon XDA, pokemon “artisans,” and stock Royal Kludge OEM. My own RK96 has never been unboxed, but what are you gonna do? It was $25 from Amazon warehouse and was a trimode only missing the 2.4ghz dongle. I’ve also got her custom macropad that just spits out nonsense and swear words.
