LOL, yep definitely Arisu layout, not Alice. Although I’ll give Keychron a pass on that, you gotta be fairly deep in the hobby to know that difference. Plus Keychron has been bringing some awesome entry level boards to us without any of the drama of say Glorious or Hyte.
The big jog wheel looks like it would be awesome for that. It’s also interesting to me that they swapped the position of the numpad relative to the navigation cluster.
Good catch! I’ve been staring at this ad for weeks now and didn’t even notice that. This obvious to some, but surely subtle to most oversight has me convinced that if you walk into the depths of Keychron corporate, maybe the receptionist will be sporting a Q6 or something, but it’ll be nothing but laptops and Apple Magic Keyboards as far as the desks are long.
i cant say much lol. I work for HP and I’m using a dell membrane keyboard (I cant bring my own keyboard in for data security reasons)
that’s unfortunate. If you can get a Dell membrane board, could you get them to order an Alienware board? At least it would be mechanical
Or heck, there’s an HP Omen board that uses optical switches, right?
It’s probably one of those things where you would have to prove you need the accommodation and get a Doctor to write a note though.
eh im sure if i looked i could possibly find a decent board to use but i dont want to go through the huge boxes (like the box is the entire size of a pallet) to find a better board lol
Some good reading about what’s happening @ GMK / Unikey.
Very interesting article, thank you !
I’m new to keebtalk and this is a bit of self promo, idk if it’s allowed so if it’s not lmk so I can delete and never do it again but I’ve been working on a macro pad with usb hub capability. The idea is that it could work as a hub where you connect your other keyboards or other devices.
I found that one the other day after seeing them on Drop. However, KM didn’t list the entire line on Drop. The pricing seems odd. The DOIO has lots more features and is only $5/10 more than the lower-end models, plus you have to wait a lot longer and pay for shipping if you buy from Drop. To me, it was an instabuy directly from KM, especially after spending quite some time looking for a nice-looking pad that also has at least one knob. This one has three.
Looks like it could be a neat tool for streamers; program a batch of macros, use the main wheel to swap between audio/video/game-specific layers, knobs for audio levels, etc. Tempting!
Ooooooh I love this. Sounds super useful. Info?
This is Even cheaper for 4th of July today at $135.
Wow, that’s really cheap for an SP SA set. To be fair, I can understand why it isn’t selling (penumbra is one of the worst IDE themes I’ve ever seen) but that actually puts it in the price range of other SA manufacturers for once. And at least solarized doesn’t look like expired cheese like the base penumbra kit.
I’ll still never forgive SP for using FIO/FII/FI2 instead of F10/F11/F12 but that’s a good deal.
The only reason I’m holding off is lack of 65% last column. I still might buy it. I own the GMK version with the cheese alphas. But I sometimes put my Honeywell alphas on it, which is the exact same as solarized. I think the set looks even better in SA for some reason.
I just wish it had "2 and £3. Why include the row 3 @ and # otherwise?
Right now its just a prototype. The PCB is 90% done but the case is still under development, i wanted to do something different to all the other 9key macro pads out there so it’staking a bit longer. I planned to post an IC sometime this week but in the meantime you can follow our instagram for updates, its @keyquest.tech.
With gmail you can also create aliases, label emails sent to them and automatically put them on folders so you never miss anything
The SP SA expired cheese + brown mods looks great in normal indoor lighting.
This is a very good price for an SA profile set which has a proper R4 bottom row.
But I won’t shop at originative anymore - I have 2 expensive originative sets, both incomplete because qc was poor & the guy never sent the promised replacement caps.
Two things.
Monstargear’s 2nd drop of the Sangeo65 is in-stock and Keychron’s Q65 group buy. VIA, BT, with a left-side knob and macropad, $#@! yeah.
