Interesting Finds & Heads-Ups

Right now, I have been using Creme on it. Riley actually stole my idea for our product photos!

I’ve never purchased a colored case for myself because I think it limits the keycap sets that will go well with it. But that Ironstone orange has me thinking.

I’m sure you guys saw this yesterday, but it’s cool. :sunglasses:

I love how it looks on that Foundation board. I think that is a custom top.

Omnitype is now selling a 3 mL “Lube Pen:”

“With each twist of the top, the Omnitype® Lube Pen dispenses a precise amount of lubricant onto the bristles. This allows for better control over the amount of lube used, reducing waste and enabling you to easily find your preferred amount. Also, say goodbye to wiping excess lube from your bristles for storage - simply cap the pen when finished. Every single drop of lube is usable with the Lube Pen.”

It’s a shame that v1 isn’t refillable (or at least isn’t designed to be per Garrett in Discord), but I do have hopes for the idea.

The cynical part of me wonders if this is a solution in search of a problem: I generally am able to get every bit of the lube from the jar and I don’t make a mess using good brushes. Plus I can reuse the brushes and recycle the glass jars.

I just use some cheap syringes off Amazon to use on stabs when they start acting up. A small dollop can last a long time.

For switches, jars serve well.

The part about this I like is the metered dispensing, but I’d prefer to see it in a reusable dispenser. That’s actually the part of my technique that I’m currently working on improving; getting the same tiny amount of grease from the pipette each time.

Get it while it’s hot!

Although, if you’re not too worried about it selling out, which it probably won’t, Vala often puts these on sale for 50% off

Good point about wanting a way to refill it. Hadn’t considered it, since I rarely lube anything other than stabilizers so it’s been four years on the same 5 mL jar of 205g0 here.

Oh, man. This is definitely a gamble to wait for a (bigger) sale…

Do you know if those spacebars are pure black and would match HSA WoB, or are they just very, very dark green/black?

Piano or Original Xbox?

Pretty sure they are black but I’ll let you know when I get mine.

IDK if y’all have seen it, but I don’t like it at all; it’s still fun though.

Anywho, here it is:

Ouuu wow didnt think JTK would do transparent keycaps with their HSA profile, that is really cool to see. I’m hoping there will be another colorway that I like using it.

I could take or leave the novelties (personal taste), but those colors! Drown me in burgundy

A new set isn’t in the budget right now, so I hope this colorway sticks around after the preorder

That looks so good!!

I ordered GMK Villanelle from DeskHero to go with my “purple” keycult, but sadly while it was marked delivered it actually wasn’t.

Let’s see how DeskHero help me resolve it, otherwise I might jump on the Rascals pre-order because that looks equally (if not more) stunning than Villanelle.

You know, I think those might be semi-transparent CX SA / AF SA profile keycaps:

I was wondering if Toxic’s designer was involved in this, but the ZFrontier listing does credit him, so it would seem so.

Yea it looks like the original designer danielucf is listed on the HSA page. It looks like he was the one who designed originally for JTK Toxic (cherry profile) and allowed Tmb3ry to take the lead on GMK Toxic.
