HELP identifying an 80's Mechanical Keyboard switch

I’m just going to drop a note of appreciation for preserving the vintage Dasher terminal in the background!

The flattening of the slope towards the bottom of the key cap makes me think of DCS or OEM profile instead of pure Cherry profile.

Comparison photo of DCS vs Cherry profile (manufactured by GMK). Photo not mine; therefore, linking to original.

That’s what I was thinking too so it could be DCS, but the R1 slope being so flat just led me to say Cherry.

It also looks really similar to the ones Printec-DS is still using on their industrial PC keyboards. It’s a cylindrical profile with what seems to be a similar height to Cherry, but it seems to have a wider top. The DS profile also makes liberal use of “stepped” keycaps to help reduce the need for stabilizing mechanisms on the longer keys. Other than on CapsLock keys, these are very much “out of fashion”.

Such eagle eye! That’s my personal cherished Data General CS-10, still to be properly rebooted!

Regarding DCS vs Cherry, I’ll provide measurements of the keys tomorrow id you’d still have me bug you about this.

Do bear in mind that these keys were custom-moulded in Portugal to fit the DS switches “+” mount, and that they were “inspired” from the Pac keyboard, but still trying to maintain switch compatibility.

Thanks to all. Your knowledge is much appreciated.
